Field Day is This Friday, April 20

As a Reminder, Field Day is This Friday, April 20.
  • Students may wear their Field Day T-shirt or other school spirit shirt and appropriate length athletic shorts. They should also wear tennis shoes and sunscreen.
  • Field Day gear will be distributed to classrooms this Tuesday, April 17.
  • Parents and siblings are welcome to attend but must sign in at the front office. No pets allowed.
  • Thank you to the volunteers! You’ll receive an email by this Wednesday, April 18, with more information.
  • As previously communicated, below is the schedule for the day:
  • 8:15 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.: Parade for All Grade Levels
  • 8:35 a.m. – 10:25 a.m.: PPCD, Pre-K-2nd Rotations 
  • 12:00 p.m.: Kinder-2nd Tug of War (Pre-K will not be doing Tug of War.)
  • 10:30 a.m. – off/on until 2:00 p.m.: LINC, 3rd-5th Rotations 
  • 1:30 p.m.: 3rd-5th Tug of War 
  • Lunch will follow the normal schedule.
 
Check Lost-and-Found Area Before Clean-Out This Week
Warmer weather means forgotten/lost jackets and coats. Please stop by before or after school to check for any lost items. The lost-and-found area will be cleaned out this week.
 

Kindergarten Program at 6:30 p.m. Next Tuesday, April 24
Please join us for the kindergarten program at 6:30 p.m. next Tuesday, April 24, in the auditorium.
 

Reminder: Talent Show Dress Rehearsal Next Wednesday, April 25, and Talent Show Next Friday, April 27, at Monnig Auditorium
Don’t forget that the Talent Show Dress Rehearsal is from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. next Wednesday, April 25, and Talent Show is at 6 p.m. next Friday, April 27, at Monnig Auditorium. 
 

Attention 5th Grade Parents: We Need Your Pictures for 5th Grade Slide Show at Graduation by May 25
It’s time to start creating the 5th grade slide show for graduation!
  • Please send pictures from all the years your students attended Ridglea Hills to Mandy Perez.
  • We would love to have all students represented.
  • Pictures from your camera or camera phone are great!
  • Please email them to Mandy Perez at Mandyperez2379@gmail.com
  • The deadline is Friday, May 25.
 
RHE Science Fair Evaluation/Judging Rubrics Available Online
As a reminder, RHE Science Fair is on Tuesday, May 8. The judging rubrics for requirements of each type of investigation are available on the RHPTA website. Please note the following information provided by FWISD:
  • 2nd – 4th grade projects should be a Descriptive or Comparative investigation only. (Experimental projects entered for these grade levels will be displayed, but not judged.)
  • 5th grade projects can be a Descriptive, Comparative or Experimental investigation.
  • 2nd – 5th grade may work on individual or team projects (with a maximum of five team members).
  • Pre-K – 1st grade may enter class projects for display, but they will not be judged.
