Closed Campus April 8 – 12
This week we will be having STAAR testing for the following grades and content areas:
  • 4th Grade Writing – Tuesday, April 9
  • 5th Grade Math – Tuesday, April 9
  • 5th Grade Reading – Wednesday, April 10
  • Makeup Testing – April 11-12
  • We will also be closed tomorrow, Monday, April 8, for test preparations. 
  • The campus will be closed to visitors and volunteers for the entire week. 
  • If your students are testing, please make sure they get lots of rest and eat breakfast on the days of testing. 
  • Please contact the school if you have any questions.

Talent Show Update: Music and Audio/Visual Need Forms Due By This Friday, April 12
Music for the Talent Show acts along with audio/visual needs forms are due by this Friday, April 12. The following are three different ways to turn them in:
  • You can turn in your music files by email to kmartzgon26@gmail.com.
  • You can send them via Dropbox. 
  • You can also download your music onto a USB drive and turn it into the Talent Show folder in the office filing cabinet. Please make sure to label it.

Nominations for 2018-19 PTA Board Still Open!
Interested in serving on the PTA Board next school year? 
  • All of the many events at Ridglea Hills could not happen without parental involvement. The RHTPA board consists of 42 positions held by PTA general members.
  • There are eight elected positions, elected by the general PTA membership, and 34 appointed positions. The appointed positions are appointed by the incoming president.
  • These positions together make up the RHPTA board. While each position has a specific job, the board as a whole makes administrative and financial decisions of the PTA.
  • In addition to the specific jobs outlined, each board member should be able to regularly attend board meetings.

Online Pre-K Registration Now Open Through Friday, April 26
  • Parents can register for Pre-K online through Friday, April 26.
  • Registrations will be processed through the Early Childhood Department by Friday, May 10, with letters going home notifying parents on Monday, May 13.
  • For more information about Pre-K, visit www.fwisd.org/prek.
  • The district will host their big Pre-K Round Up this Saturday, April 6, at the William M. McDonald YMCA near Mitchell Boulevard. 
  • Currently, Pre-K is planned to start at 7:50 a.m. and end at 2:15 p.m., and after-school care by the YMCA will again be available on campus until 6 p.m. for those parents who need it.
Enter Your RHPTA Volunteer Hours
Please enter your RHPTA volunteer hours for the appropriate month online. Click the following link to access: 
  • Volunteer hours include: PTA meetings, work at the school, PTA-related work from home, fundraising, special school programs (Field Day, Fine Arts Day, etc.), cafeteria duty, copying, errands for PTA, etc.
  • You can submit this form as many times as you wish throughout the month. We will add them up for you! 
  • We will close out the hours for each month a few days into the next month. 
  • Hours are allowed to be carried over and reported from any time in the year to any reporting period as long as they are reported only once.

Mustang Stampede is Ready!
Mustang Stampede is ready to thrill your kids with a surprise appearance on their birthday or any special occasion! Your kids will wake up on the day you select to find their front yard "stampeded" with mustang signs displayed by 5th grade families.
