Live Thankfully Campaign Continues Through This Thursday, Nov. 15
Our Live Thankfully Campaign continues through this Thursday, Nov. 15. Thanks to all who have already contributed. There’s still time for those who haven’t yet. With your help, we will give Thanksgiving dinners and groceries to families in need. These families are adopted through our school and other Fort Worth schools. Last year we donated a record 5,447 items to the Live Thankfully program, and the Student Council raised an additional $1,500 to help pay for Thanksgiving meals! Our goal this year is 7,000 items.

Below are ways you can help us Live Thankfully:

Food Drive Runs Through Thursday, Nov. 15
  • Bring non-perishable goods to RH. Please do not bring glass jars.
  • Food items to consider: all canned veggies, canned soups, canned meat, boxed potatoes, bagged rice, dry pasta, boxed macaroni and cheese, paper goods, peanut butter.

Out-of-Dress Code Days Benefiting Live Thankfully Campaign Tomorrow, Nov. 12, and Tuesday, Nov. 13
  • Students who purchased out-of-dress code wristbands last week should use them tomorrow, Monday, Nov. 12, and Tuesday, Nov. 13.
  • Students who haven’t yet purchased them can do so before school tomorrow, Nov. 12, and Tuesday, Nov. 13 ($3 each. Bracelets are good for use both days).
  • All money raised will go to Live Thankfully.
  • As always, basic dress code guidelines must be followed.

Challenge from Mrs. Cotton
  • The grade level that brings in the most items by this Thursday, Nov. 15, will win the chance to duct tape Mrs. Cotton to the wall!

Party with a Purpose at 5:30 P.M. on Sunday, Nov. 18
  • Join our school family at Southwest Christian School’s preparatory campus (6901 Altamesa Blvd., Fort Worth, TX 76123) to bag these groceries to give to our adopted families.
  • Fort Worth food trucks will be present for dinner.
  • Face painting, clowns and music provided!

We Need Your Help!
  • RH Career Day will be held this Friday, Nov. 16.
  • We would like to know what parents/volunteers will be available that day to present their career to our students.
  • We also want you to think of friends/contacts you know who would be willing to share their time with us. Thank you for your help and cooperation!
  • Recently, a purple interest form was sent home in student folders. There are morning (8:30 a.m. – noon), afternoon (noon – 2:30 p.m.) and all-day shifts available.
  • If you have questions or are interested in participating, please contact your child’s teacher as soon as possible.
