Walkathon is Tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 6!

Walkathon is almost here! We are so close to our $55,000 goal – we have raised $54,225 so far. Thank you, Mustangs!

·      A huge thank you to all who donated and solicited donations this year to help us reach our goal. Every donation no matter how big or small will make an impact. This money is used to fund the many activities provided for our students by PTA throughout the year.

·      It's not too late to donate. You can donate online through My School Anywhere.

Morning Dropoff

·      No parking along Cumberland in front of the school tomorrow morning.

·      Carpool will run as usual.

·      Plan for a crowded parking situation tomorrow.

·      Allow extra time to park.

·      Exercise caution as there will be a significant amount of pedestrian traffic tomorrow as people arrive at the school.

·      Please be patient and follow the directions of our volunteers. We have many neighborhood (non-RHE) volunteers and want to show our Mustang manners and appreciation for them.

·      You may walk your child to class then leave the classroom and wait in front of the school. Additional bodies in the halls and classrooms make it difficult for classes to exit and ultimately delay the Walkathon start. We want to be respectful of all of our parents who have other obligations later in the day.

Walkathon

·      Classes will exit the building when called on the loudspeaker.

·      The winning class who raised the most money will lead the Walkathon.

·      Following them will be each grade in descending order starting with fifth.

·      Grades 3-5 will walk two laps on the route.

·      Grades PreK-2 will walk one lap on the route. **PreK will walk the same route as everyone else.**

·      Encourage kids to take care of the neighborhood by placing water bottles in recycling receptacles through the neighborhood.

·      At the end of their designated laps, Room Parents along with other parents can go get their class popsicles in the lobby and distribute them in front of the school.

·      After popsicles, classes will return to their routine day.

·      If you plan to stay to volunteer or go to the classrooms after Walkathon, you must check in at the office.

·      When exiting the neighborhood, please exercise extreme caution as we may still have older walkers on the route.

See you in the morning!
