Walkathon was a Big Success!

Thanks to everyone who helped make last Friday’s Walkathon such a big success! We surpassed our goal of $55,000! We’ll announce our final total as soon as we have it. Thank you, Mustangs!

·      Because we made (and exceeded) our goal, all students will receive out-of-dress code for this Tuesday, Oct. 10, through Friday, Oct. 13. All students must still adhere to FWISD dress code guidelines:

o   No spaghetti straps/tank tops.

o   Shorts MUST be an appropriate length – no more than 4 inches above the knee.

o   Please wear appropriate shoes for PE and recess!

Reminder: No School Tomorrow, Monday, Oct. 9, for Waiver Day, and No Run Club
Please note that tomorrow, Monday, Oct. 9, is a Waiver Day so there is no school for students, and we will not have Run Club.

Please Take FWISD Survey On Technology Use

FWISD is partnering with BrightBytes, an educational research organization, to learn more about you and your students’ technology access and use for learning. The goal of this project is to gather data on technology access, skills, and technology environment, to better understand the connection between technology use and student achievement.

Please take a few minutes to complete the technology survey by clicking on the following link: www.BByt.es/6K9yp

Enlist in the RHE PTA This Year By Monday, Oct. 30, and Be Entered into Raffle for a Chipotle Gift Card!

·      Congratulations to Melinda Blackerby and Ms. Gandarilla (RHE 2nd grade teacher) for winning the PTA membership raffle! They joined by Sept. 30 and each won a Starbucks gift card.

·      Thank you to the 352 members who have joined so far! We are at 44% membership of our current student enrollment of 792. Our PTA membership goal for the year is 50%, but it would be amazing to exceed that and have one PTA member for every RH student--Every Child. One Voice!

·      What is PTA? Why join PTA? The number one reason to join the Parent Teacher Association is to benefit your child. In doing so, you also help your school. There is no time commitment in joining the PTA, but you can enjoy substantial benefits: http://www.txpta.org/member-benefits.

·      We welcome parents, grandparents, family and friends to join. Annual membership dues are only $5.

·      Join by Monday, Oct. 30, and you will be entered into a raffle for a Chipotle Gift Card!

·      Click here to buy your PTA membership: https://www.myschoolanywhere.com/cart-new.a5w?cart=RidgleaHillsElementary78676)

·      If you are new to MySchoolAnywhere, our online directory, you will be prompted to the online store after submitting your contact information for the RHE PTA directory.

·      If you have any questions about joining our PTA, please contact Naomi Gelineau, Vice President of Membership, at naomi0617@gmail.com or 817-879-0765.
