Walkathon Reminders

·      Tomorrow, Friday, Sept. 16, is WEAR RED FOR RIDGLEA and/or CRAZY SOCK Day! Students are allowed to dress out of uniform only if they are wearing RED and/or CRAZY SOCKS. Obviously, they must be appropriately dressed – no tank tops, flip flops, etc. Red shirts, red shorts – even red socks and shoes are welcome! Let’s show our school spirit tomorrow!

·      Walkathon permission slips and T-shirt orders are DUE tomorrow, Friday, Sept. 16. Please return these for your FREE student T-shirt. Parents wanting a T-shirt should attach money or a check to the form and make sure to note the sizes you want. We cannot order shirts without prepayment. We may have shirts available on the morning of Walkathon, but they will be on a first come basis and limited sizes – it’s best to order NOW!

·      We will also be tallying the first week’s donations! Our goal is to raise $5,000 of our overall $45,000 goal. If we meet the goal, then students will be treated to fun lunchtime dancing next week with Marty the Mustang and some hilarious costumed administrators. This week’s five top-contributing classrooms will be treated to cookies by Marty the Mustang on Friday afternoon!

·      Have you lost a form? All forms from the packet are available on our website under the Walkathon tab.

·      Do you have friends or family members far away who would like to donate? Please direct them to our website where they will find a link to make credit card donations online.

·      Please don’t forget that Business Sponsors and Family Sponsors are due by next Friday, Sept. 23. We will happily take donations of any amount after this date, but this is the deadline to be on the T-shirt and the banner. All sponsorship levels are in the packet as well as on the website.

Thank you for all the support and excitement –

Walkathon 2016 is going to be the best one yet!
