WALKATHON: This event is the biggest fundraiser for RHPTA. Students receive donations from family, friends and community businesses. Last year, proceeds exceeded $50,000! At the culmination of the four-week donation drive we celebrate with an all school walk around the neighborhood. Family and friends are encouraged to join in on this exciting event!

CARNIVAL: This is a fun night in which students enjoy an old fashioned carnival complete with a cakewalk and haunted house.

Students dress as their favorite character from a book and parade through the halls for this special tradition.

PUMPKIN PATCH: Each year our children are invited to decorate (no carving) pumpkins and display in the lobby of the school the week of Halloween. On Friday, pumpkins that are left are donated.

CAREER DAY: Parents and community members share their careers or hobbies with the students.

RIDGLEA HILLS PARENT PARTY: This is an exciting evening for parents that will include dinner and an auction. It is held off campus.

HOT DOG SUPPER: Volunteers assist with serving hot dogs on this family night. The fundraiser also includes raffle basket prizes as well as sign-ups for children's grade-level parties throughout the spring.

TALENT SHOW: Various student (and sometimes teacher!) groups and individuals display their talents and put on a fabulous show at an off-site location.

FINE ARTS DAY: This is a day of artist demonstration and hands-on art experiences for the students. Each class rotates through “workshops” where they will meet artists, hear musicians, see dancers and participate in creating some amazing projects. One of the absolute best days of the school year!

DONUTS WITH DAD: This is a special morning in which dads come to school for doughnuts with their kids. Beginning around 7:30 a.m., dads and students are served doughnuts in the cafeteria for breakfast.  Volunteers assist with set-up, serving and clean up.

MUFFINS WITH MOM: This is a special morning for moms and students to have muffins together before school. Beginning around 7:30 a.m., moms and students are served muffins in the cafeteria for breakfast. Volunteers assist with set-up, serving and clean up.

FIELD DAY: Volunteers assist teachers with their classes and assist in running and athletic events on the school's track.
