Join the RHPTA

It’s time to join PTA! Our goal is to have a voice for every child, so we would love to have every family join!

  • Annual membership dues are just $5 per member and you can pay online anytime.
  • Join parents, teachers and community members in improving educational and extracurricular opportunities for all of our Ridglea Hills Elementary students.
  • As a PTA member, you work on behalf of the children you represent by volunteering in the school, supporting the faculty and staff, and staying informed on issues regarding your children and their education.

Mustang Stampede

Mustang Stampede is back and ready to thrill your kids with a surprise appearance on their birthday or any special occasion! Your kids will wake up on their birthday or other special occasion to find their front yard "stampeded" with mustang signs by 5th grade families.

Your $25 donation (which goes to support the 5th grade field trip) includes 12 mustang signs, two optional birthday signs, and a Ridglea Hills sign. Reservations must be made at least a week in advance. 5th Grade Parents: We Need Your Pictures for the Graduation Slideshow

It’s time to start creating the 5th grade slide show for graduation on Friday, May 31! 
  • Please send a picture from the year your student started at RH and their 5th grade year to Bekah Elizalde.
  • We would love to have all students represented.
  • Pictures from your camera or camera phone are great!
  • Send to Bekah at elizaldes@mac.com with subject “Graduation Slideshow”
  • The deadline is graduation week Monday, May 27.
  • Photos can be of individuals or groups.


Important Message from FWISD Superintendent Dr. Kent Scribner

Nominations for 2019-20 PTA Board Open

Interested in serving on the PTA Board next school year? 

  • All of the many events at Ridglea Hills could not happen without parental involvement. The RHTPA board consists of 42 positions held by PTA general members.
  • There are eight elected positions, elected by the general PTA membership, and 34 appointed positions. The appointed positions are appointed by the incoming president.
  • These positions together make up the RHPTA board. While each position has a specific job, the board as a whole makes administrative and financial decisions of the PTA.
  • In addition to the specific jobs outlined, each board member should be able to regularly attend board meetings.

Carpool Morning Drop-Off Procedure

Please note the following expectations for the morning carpool drop-off that began on March 18:
  • The new, 2nd morning drop-off location in the staff parking lot is open for drop-off at 7:30 a.m. Students who are dropped off before 7:30 a.m. will need to follow the normal routine of being dropped off at the front of the school.
  • After 7:30 a.m., parents will have two options for drop-off. A staff member will be located at the corner of Angus and Cumberland to direct the flow of traffic.
  • Cumberland Road – This is the regular morning drop-off location.
  • Staff parking lot off Angus – At this new morning drop-off location, students will be dropped off and directed through the playground gate to enter through the library. This is for students only. Parents who walk their children to class will still be required to enter through the front door.
  • If you are directed to drop-off in the parking lot, you will not be able to turn back to Cumberland off of Angus after you have dropped your child off. Please continue down Angus. This will help with congestion at the corner of Stonedale and Cumberland.
  • Please DO NOT park on Angus during carpool. We need to keep Angus free of parked cars to help with the two-way traffic flow.
  • The back parking lot drop-off ends at 7:50 a.m., as staff members must report to classroom duties. After 7:50 a.m., please follow normal procedures to drop-off at the front of the school. As a reminder, students are tardy if they report to class after 7:50 a.m.

  • Complete your background check here. It's easy and fast. You must complete a new one each year. Please note that this is a new system for 2018-19.

Security

  • Exterior doors automatically lock at 7:50 a.m.
  • Visitors to the school must be buzzed in at the front door and then proceed to the office for a visitor name badge.
  • Please be prepared to show your state-issued ID card to receive your name badge.
  • Thank you for helping keep our school safe.
