Walkathon 2018

This year's Walkathon is set for Friday, Oct. 5. Last year, our premier fall event raised more than $68,000 for the Ridglea Hills Elementary PTA to be able to impact its students. Walkathon is our premier fall event, and we are confident that YOU will want to “Saddle Up” with us once again to support our students. Our goals for this year include…

  • Continue to financially assist in providing state-of-the-art technology relevant for all classrooms and students
  • Continue to financially assist in providing current, relevant and challenging classroom resources for all students
  • Continue to financially assist student academic experiences outside the classroom including field trips, physical fitness and community service opportunities

Thank You PTA!

Both playground shade structures have been completed! THANK YOU for your donations last year to Walkathon, Hot Dog Supper and Auction!

Whether you bought a spot at a party, hosted a party, donated items to auction, bought raffle tickets at Hot Dog Supper or made donations to Walkathon, you had a part in bringing the shade to our playgrounds!
Want to help with our next projects? Walkathon is just around the corner on Friday, Oct. 5! Stay tuned for more information coming soon!

Be a Room Parent

One way to get involved in your child’s classroom is by helping his/her teacher with parties and special event days such as Walkathon, Carnival, Feast Day (kindergarten), Holiday Party, Valentine’s Party, Fine Arts Day, Field Day and End-of-Year Party.

If you are interested in helping with room parent activities, please click here to get the form. If you have questions, or need to turn in a completed form, email Angela Houston at angela@nuzao.com.

Be an RHE Buddy

It's time to sign up for a Buddy! What's a Ridglea Hills Buddy? The PTA matches up every staff member with a Secret Pal/Buddy each year. These secret buddies (PTA members) leave little gifts through out the year to make their staff member feel special and appreciated for all they do for our kids.

We have the BEST school filled with an amazing staff and we want to let each and everyone of them know that the make a difference to our kids and to us! Please consider being a secret Ridglea Buddy this year and sign up by emailing Nancy Sticksel at nancy.sticksel@yahoo.com.

Mustang Stampede is Back!

Mustang Stampede is back and ready to thrill your kids with a surprise appearance on their birthday or any special occasion! Your kids will wake up on their birthday or other special occasion to find their front yard "stampeded" with mustang signs by 5th grade families.

Your $25 donation (which goes to support the 5th grade field trip) includes 12 mustang signs, two optional birthday signs, and a Ridglea Hills sign. Reservations must be made at least a week in advance. Be the first to reserve your special day! What a fun way to support your 5th grade families and show the neighborhood your RHE spirit!
